Arab Street is the name of a road and neighborhood in Singapore. The name is derived from the fact that the area was once owned by an Arab merchant, Syed Ali bin Mohamed Al Junied. The second explanation is that the name comes from the fact that there was an Arab kampong situated in this area at one point in time.
